Established in 2016, IISER Berhampur is one of the premier Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It primarily offers a 5-year integrated BS-MS dual degree program in various science disciplines including Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences, alongside PhD programs. Admission to the BS-MS program is primarily through the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT), with a limited number of seats also allocated through JEE Advanced ranks. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in the science stream.
